Santa Margarita Lake
Conditions: Water temps in the low 50s, slightly stained visibility. Lake is near full capacity.
Bass: Picking up as water warms! Anglers reporting catches in the 2 lb range on swim jigs and paddle tail trailers. Fish moving into pre-spawn mode โ focus on shallow areas near shore.
Whale Rock Reservoir ๐ฅ
- Largemouth Bass: HOT BIT! 65ยฐF water temp, partially cloudy
- Catch: 2 lb bass on black/blue swim jig with paddle tail trailer
- Best Spot: Within 15 feet of shore
- Spotted Bass: 2-2.5 lb average, up to 3.5-4 lbs
- Best Time: 9:00 - 11:00 AM
- Presentation: Ned Rig, Swing Head, Texas-rigged stick bait in natural colors
San Antonio Lake
- Water Temp: ~53ยฐF, roughly half full
- Trout: Slow โ a few caught on chartreuse/rainbow PowerBait

Offshore fishing continues to deliver strong results. Recent charter highlights:
- Lingcod: Up to 33 lbs (season totals: 2,814)
- Rockfish: 56,000+ landed this season

- Bocaccio: 6,615
